Humans of IDP #131: Joselyn ’25 & Vindhya ’25

Meet Joselyn Auquilla ’25 and Vindhya Kathuria ’25, two of our EDUC 2610 co-facilitators from this semester and today’s #HumansofIIDP. Check out what these two have to say about IDP and one another!

Why IDP?

Joselyn:

IDP has equipped me with new and valuable skills to explore the world with curiosity and openness. The welcoming community fosters an environment where I find myself excited to ask questions and face challenges. Being part of this group that values connection and fosters eagerness to learn has been instrumental to my growth as a Cornell student.

Vindhya:

IDP has been one of my most meaningful Cornell experiences. Each session leaves me eager to learn more, form genuine connections, and explore new questions. I love the focus on co-learning and the diverse perspectives that enrich our classroom, challenge my thinking, and strengthen my sense of community and purpose. Being part of IDP has deepened my understanding of myself and others, fueling my passion for creating positive change.

What's your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?

Joselyn:

I admire Vindhya’s ability to be incredibly aware of what our students need, and I’m in awe of her attention to detail in her work and genuine care for all our students. With her willingness to bring in her different perspectives and own life experiences, she connects easily with students, and I’ve seen the clear benefit this has on them. I am so glad to be able to call her my co-facilitator this semester!

Vindhya:

Joselyn is incredibly thoughtful and kind. Her dedication to our students’ learning and growth is truly inspiring and contagious, as she gives her all to be the best facilitator for all our students! She’s a supportive mentor to me, and I learn so much from her — whether it’s new music to add to my playlist or complex concepts she explains so beautifully. I love working with her, and I genuinely don’t know what I would do without her!
