Introducing another pair of EDUC 2610 facilitators and our second #HumansofIDP of the semester — Ivor Mills ’27 and Rosie You ’25. Check out what these two have to say about IDP and one another!
Why IDP?
Ivor:
When I took IDP, it opened my eyes to so many different dynamics and social norms present in the world. Through meaningful dialogue and connection with my class, I was able to discover a lot more about myself. I became a facilitator this year because I truly believe that IDP is one of the most transformative courses I have ever taken, and I want to continue to push myself to learn more!
Rosie:
I value IDP for always encouraging me to seek new perspectives, to cherish curiosity, and to form new relationships with so many different people. It has supported my growth as both an individual and an educator throughout college, and it excites me every semester to learn with a new group of students.
What's your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?
Ivor:
There’s never a dull moment in session because Rosie keeps the positive, fun energy pumping and always amazes me with her advanced, in-the-moment questions! I’m SO grateful Rosie is my co because her fantastic facilitation pushes me to develop my own even more, in hopes to be even HALF as great as her. Rosie has the sweetest, most genuine personality and is just such an extraordinary human.
Rosie:
Ivor is such a happy and bubbly person to be around — he can easily make me laugh even when I’m the most tired or stressed. I appreciate his enthusiasm for IDP and respect his depth in knowledge and curiosity, which make me so grateful that he’s my co.
