Humans of IDP #125: Brittanie ’25 & Christian ’25

We’re excited to introduce today’s #HumansofIDP: Brittanie Chen ’25 and Christian Kuhl ’25. Here's what these two have to say about IDP and one another!

Why IDP?

Brittanie:

IDP has allowed me to connect and communicate better with others who have many different social identities from me, whether that be my students or other facilitators. IDP has also allowed me to connect with and learn more about myself. I am grateful for all the close friends I’ve made while being a part of the IDP community.

Christian:

I’ve never encountered a transformative classroom environment quite like IDP. What draws me back to this class each semester are the people, ideas, and connections IDP fosters. Serving as a facilitator and providing students with the opportunity to engage in the richness of this program is incredibly meaningful to me. I am continuously grateful for the experiences and insights gained through IDP.

What's your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?

Brittanie:

My favorite thing about Christian is the energy he brings to the classroom. He is so naturally kind and always makes those around him feel comfortable. Facilitating with him has been so fun and has taught me the importance of real teamwork and true collaboration in dialogue since we have such great co-flow!

Christian:

My favorite thing about Brittanie is her caring nature. I have never in my life seen someone so selfless in trying to see everyone around them do well and succeed. Whether it be bringing in delicious treats she baked to brighten up everyone’s day in the office or making sure our students are on track to get the most out of each session, her care for the people around her is unmatched by anyone.
