Humans of IDP #97: Anna ’25 & Isaac ’26

Happy Monday! Meet Anna Hooper ’25 and Isaac Dorio ’26, two of our EDUC 2610 co-facilitators this semester and today’s #HumansofIIDP. Here's what these two have to say about IDP and one another!

Why IDP?

Anna:

IDP has given me a space where I feel empowered to achieve the change I would like to see in myself and the world. Being a part of the IDP community has taught me what it looks like to uplift others, genuinely connect, and become a better human overall.

Isaac:

IDP was transformative for me. Taking Intergroup Dialogue in my first year was the best thing I could do as a first-year student since it exposed me to the incredible diversity of perspectives that I have surrounding me here at Cornell. Becoming a facilitator has taught me so much more about who I am and how I fit into this world alongside how much it has allowed me to grow as a person. I can’t express how thankful I am to be part of such an amazing program!

What's your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?

Anna:

Isaac has an innate love for learning and teaching. His respect and care for this work shine through in every class and lesson plan. He goes into each session with a distinct intention — to ensure that each and every one of our students are able to learn and grow.

Isaac:

Facilitating with Anna is just a pleasure. Anna is incredibly kind, supportive, dependable and amazingly genuine. She’s just one of those people you can reliably count on to always have a smile, a positive attitude and be there for you no matter what. I constantly admire Anna’s unwavering positivity and kindness and hope that I someday can have half as much of these traits as she has!
