We proudly present our Nationality facilitators Baba Adejuyigbe ’18 and Marisa Knox ’18. Baba and Marisa are facilitating IDP’s first-ever section focused on nationality and citizenship!  Here’s what they have to say about IDP:

Why IDP?

Co-Facilitators Marisa ’18 and Baba ’18

Baba: I took IDP as a junior because I was looking for a place to explore my social identities and engage with people with different social identities to my own. In addition, I enjoyed the idea that it provides a space for people to engage with social justice issues through dialogue in a classroom setting. This is super unique and cool!

Marisa: I took the class as a sophomore and realized the benefits of having a space on campus that gets people from different backgrounds together, and creates a space for them to dialogue about different issues. Its unique and educational, and has made me more aware of myself and the those around me.

What’s your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?

Baba: Marisa is a huge sneakerhead and has over 50 pairs of the latest, trendiest sneakers in all of the world… I think that’s pretty dope.

Marisa: Baba is an advocate for bringing snacks to session, he loves the idea of communal snacks for the section.
